Rawlings Baseball Bat Reviews

Rawlings produces decent baseball bats and it seems in recent years they are making a push to becoming a serious competitor in the aluminum baseball bat industry. Though they are better known for being the exclusive supplier of baseballs to Major League Baseball, they will soon be recognized as a top-quality baseball bat producer.

Rawlings’ wood baseball bats have always seemed weighted different than the competitors and when I say different I mean “heavy”. They don’t have a good proportional feel but everybody’s different. Because of the rounded end-caps on most models, they are never very shock resistant, however they do come with a sanded grip for an easier, more comfortable grip.

Rawlings’ aluminum bats do offer composite materials utilizing carbon fiber and fiberglass. Carbon fiber is light-weight and strong. They actually have a conductor of sorts that carries energy between the handle and barrel of their “Plasma Fusion” series. They have an end cap that has been tested to withstand a major impact up to 105mph but that’s not where you want to be hitting the ball anyway. Rawlings’ aluminum and wood baseball bats have a flat ended-handle feature that I don’t particularly care for and would seem uncomfortable to anybody. That feature doesn't give their bats any technical advantage.
